Fullerene powder is used for biomedical applications including the design of high-performance magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) contrast agents, X-ray imaging contrast agents, photodynamic therapy and drug and gene delivery. It is used in superconductors, photoactive polymers, film material modifiers, abrasive agent for cutting and grinding applications.
