Calcium fluoride is used to manufacture optical components such as windows and lenses, used in thermal imaging systems, spectroscopy, and excimer lasers, electronics, lasers, high-temperature dry-film lubricants, emery wheels, certain cements, phosphors, paint pigment, catalyst in wood preservatives, and optical equipment.
